Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Sen. Prof. Stephen Odey, Esq., has received the International Eminent Outstanding Award in Educational Leadership and Exceptional Public Service Excellence 2026.
The award, presented by the Joshua Godson Abiodun Ministry Inc. Nigeria, International Societal Impact Organization and Edenelisha International Foundation (EDINFO), recognises Senator Odey’s commitment to community development, exemplary leadership, transparency and his contributions to advancing positive societal impact.
The award was presented by Mrs. Okama Ubi Amos (Rtd.), former Director of Schools, Ministry of Education, during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner’s office. She also decorated Senator Odey with a medal and commended him for his support and dedication.
Professor Odey expressed appreciation to the organisations for the recognition, noting that although he had recently declined some awards, he accepted this one wholeheartedly. He also thanked Mrs. Amos for presenting and decorating him with medal.
