The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Chief Hon. Christopher Agbeh, has appealed to motorists operating within the council area to make proper use of designated motor parks for loading and offloading activities.

Chief Agbeh expressed concern over the indiscriminate parking of vehicles along major roads in Ogoja Urban, describing the situation as unacceptable and detrimental to the aesthetic beauty and orderly development of the town.
According to the council chairman, the continued disorder on the streets despite the availability of designated parks can no longer be tolerated. He warned that the council may be compelled to strengthen enforcement measures if the existing taskforce fails to effectively address the situation.
“If the current taskforce is not effective, stronger enforcement mechanisms will be introduced, and illegal activities will no longer be tolerated,” he stated.
Speaking during the meeting, stakeholders including Mr. Ibak Thomas Agom, Anthony Ntol, Udochukwu Benedict, and Cabrini Mgbado commended the chairman for engaging transport operators and other concerned parties on the issue.
They agreed that the taskforce should be repositioned to become more functional and effective, while also pledging their support and cooperation with the council to ensure a cleaner, more organised, and traffic-free Ogoja Urban area.
