Sen. Prof. Stephen Odey, Esq., Cross River State Commissioner for Education, after his official engagement, paid a courtesy visit to his friend and former colleague, Senator IIkeje Israel Asogwa, following his emergence as Senator representing Enugu North Senatorial District.
During the visit, Senator Odey congratulated Senator Asogwa on his well-deserved victory in the June 2026 by-election and his subsequent swearing-in into the National Assembly. He also reflected on their past collaboration in the education sector, where both served in SUBEB leadership roles in their respective states.
The visit highlighted their long-standing relationship, mutual respect, and shared commitment to grassroots development and effective leadership. Senator Odey expressed confidence in Senator Asogwa’s capacity to provide quality representation and deliver impactful leadership to the people of Enugu North.
