As Children’s Day is commemorated across Nigeria, it serves as an opportunity to celebrate children and reflect on the responsibility of building a brighter future for them. The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Sen. Prof. Stephen Odey, Esq., has joined in celebrating children across the state and the nation, reaffirming his commitment to their welfare and educational advancement.
The Commissioner commended the efforts of His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, for his dedication to improving the wellbeing of children. Notably, the Governor’s initiative of free WAEC registration for students in the state has been sustained over the past three years, alongside other impactful programmes aimed at empowering young people.
Professor Odey extended his warmest wishes to all children in Cross River State and across Nigeria, assuring them of the government’s continued commitment to providing quality education. He emphasized that these efforts are geared towards equipping children with the knowledge and opportunities needed to excel and achieve their full potential in life.
