AYI OCHUMODE DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION PAYS CONGRATULATORY VISIT TO SENATOR PROF. STEPHEN ODEY

The Ayi Ochumode Development Association Calabar branch, has paid a congratulatory visit to the Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, on his recent elevation to the rank of Professor. Led by the association’s Chairman, Barrister Francis Adebe Oyije, the delegation was received at the Commissioner’s office, where they expressed their joy and admiration for his achievements as an accomplished academic and public servant.

On behalf of the association, Barr. Oyije praised Prof. Odey’s distinguished leadership qualities, describing him as a courageous, humble, and excellent individual. “We have been impressed by your leadership at various levels, your courage in the face of adversity, your humility combined with dignity, and your relentless pursuit of excellence in all endeavors. Your commitment to serving humanity has always been evident, marked by generosity, love, and unwavering support for your people and beyond,” he stated.

The association commended Prof. Odey’s reforms, including digitalizing examination processes and timely release of results, as testament to his competence. They also thanked Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu for appointing Prof. Odey, describing it as a wise choice that has yielded remarkable transformation.

Senator Prof. Stephen Odey thanked the association for the honour, the congratulatory message, and the beautiful plaque presented. He expressed deep appreciation for their encouragement, assuring them of his continued commitment to the development of the education sector and the state at large.
“I am humbled by this show of love and support. This recognition strengthens my resolve to do more in advancing the vision of His Excellency, Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, in restoring quality education for every Cross River child,” he said.
