Senator Associate Professor Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, attends the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) workshop on foundational learning and out-of-school children in Abuja. The workshop unites crucial stakeholders, including Education Ministers, the 36 State Commissioners for Education, SUBEB Chairmen, Development Partners – World Bank, NGOs, to formulate a collaborative roadmap for addressing educational challenges at the sub-national level through a structured framework of action.
Prominent attendees include Honourable Minister of State for Education, Dr Suwaiba Said Ahmad, Executive Secretary of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) Dr. Aisha Garba, Executive Chairman, Cross River State Universal Basic Education Board – Elder Dr Esu Effiong Esu and his counterparts from the 36 State and other top government functionaries were present. This initiative marks a significant milestone towards transforming Nigeria’s educational landscape.
