C’River Education Commissioner Receives Skyrun Representatives to Discuss Collaboration with Chinese College

Cross River State Commissioner for Youths Development and Skills Acquisition, Barrister Ukam Ijom Charles, led a delegation comprising Skyrun International Free Trade Zone’s Assistant General Manager, Barrister Denis Ogar, and the company’s Secretary, Mrs. Patricia Akwah, to brief Senator Stephen Odey, Commissioner for Education, on a proposed collaboration between Cross River State-owned University and Zhenjiang College in China. The partnership aims to offer programs in Marketing, simplified Chinese, and traditional Chinese culture, promoting cultural exchange and expanding academic opportunities.

The Assistant General Manager – Skyrun International Free Trade Zone Barrister Denis Ogar, thanked the Cross River State Government for providing an enabling environment for their business to thrive and stated their intention to reciprocate by empowering and training the youths, which is the objective of this proposed collaboration.

Associate Professor Odey – the Education Commissioner, with the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Barrister Francis Oyije, extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Skyrun, emphasizing the State Ministry of Education’s eagerness to collaborate and partner on initiatives that will benefit the education sector. He expressed appreciation to the company for this initiative and commended their interest in supporting the education sector in the state. The Commissioner assured the delegation of the State Governor, His Excellency Senator Apostle Prince Bassey Edet Otu’s commitment to transforming the education sector for the better, promising to provide all necessary support.
