African Action Congress Presidential Candidi Omoyele Sowere has firmly condemned the deplorable actions of youths in Mangu area of Plateau state which culminated in an unprovoked assault on an Ahmadu Bello University bus headed for a wedding, resulting in the heartbreaking loss of nine lives and injuries to many innocent travelers. As I demand justice for those involved, I must stress the recurring failure of our security agencies, especially the Nigeria Police Force, to provide adequate assistance to citizens in danger. The Nigeria Police Force has failed to fulfill its duty to protect citizens, making it compulsoryory to force the retired and illegal Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, out of office at this time.
Egbetokun, whose ineptitude has been glaringly apparent in Yelwata in Benue and now Mangu in Plateau, where the tragic loss of innocent lives was a consequence of inaction.
