The rift between Hon. Bukie Okangbe and Cross River APC Chairman, Hon. Alphonsus Eba, has come to light. Bukie, a grassroots mobilizer and National Coordinator of the Progressives Hub, has allegedly faced continuous political sabotage from Eba since his defection from PDP with ex-Governor Ayade.

Despite Bukie’s loyalty to APC, sources say the chairman is threatened by her national influence and is working to make her politically irrelevant. This includes public embarrassment at a recent APC summit in Abuja. Bukie, who has never confronted the chairman or exchanged words with him, remains uncertain about the root of the hostility.

Frustrated and sidelined, she may be considering leaving the APC for a party that values her efforts. Many say her only “offense” is her rising profile.
