Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Sen. Prof. Stephen Odey, Esq., has commended the outgoing management of the Teachers’ Continuous Training Institute (TCTI) Biase, for their dedication, resilience and contributions to the development of the institution.
Professor Odey gave the commendation while receiving the management on a courtesy visit, led by the Director-General, Prof. Taoheed Adedoja. Speaking on behalf of His Excellency the Governor, Sen. (Dr.) Prince Bassey Edet Otu, the Commissioner praised the management for their openness, commitment and wealth of experience, which he said helped the institute overcome challenges and build valuable networks for its growth.
The Commissioner assured the outgoing officials that their experience and expertise remained valuable to the state, urging them to remain hardworking, committed and professional wherever they found themselves, as their service record could open doors to greater opportunities. Prof. Odey congratulated the management on completing their tenure honourably, describing their service as a valuable addition to their professional experience.
Earlier, Prof. Adedoja expressed appreciation to Sen. Odey for his fatherly guidance, professional advice and interventions, which he said contributed significantly to the establishment, growth and survival of the institute. He described the Commissioner as a compassionate and people-oriented leader who consistently supported the management through challenging periods, and assured him that their relationship would continue beyond their tenure.
The management prayed for God’s continued guidance, favour and success for the Commissioner, while expressing confidence that his contributions to the development of education in Cross River State would remain impactful.
