C’RIVER COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION RECEIVES CROSS RIVER NORTH PERMANENT SECRETARIES FORUM

The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Sen. Prof. Stephen Odey, Esq., has received members of the Cross River North Permanent Secretaries Forum on a courtesy visit to his office in Calabar. The Forum, led by its Chairman, Prof. Godwin Akeke, said the visit was aimed at formally identifying with the Commissioner and fostering stronger relationships of mutual respect, understanding and cooperation among sons and daughters of Cross River North serving in the public service.

Prof. Akeke explained that the Forum considers it important to maintain meaningful engagement with distinguished leaders and stakeholders from the Senatorial District. He also informed the Commissioner of the Forum’s decision to honour him as its Grand Patron.

Receiving the delegation, Professor Odey expressed delight at the initiative, describing the coming together of distinguished Permanent Secretaries as a commendable step towards achieving greater unity and collective impact. The Commissioner stressed that working together was essential for meaningful results, particularly among people from the Northern Senatorial District, noting that the Forum’s formation would bring the contributions and relevance of its members to the front burner. He assured the Forum of his support and pledged to promote its interests, while commending the members for the honour of choosing him as Grand Patron.

Senator Odey thanked the Forum for the courtesy visit and expressed confidence that their collective efforts would contribute positively to the development and unity of Cross River State.
