This 23-year-old young man d!£d of high blood pressure in the UK just two years after leaving Nigeria.

According to the story, his entire family contributed money to sponsor his trip abroad. They even sold family land just to raise the money. But the moment he got to the UK, he automatically became the family’s ATM.

Every now and then, someone was calling him to ask for money. If it wasn’t school fees, it was rent. If it wasn’t rent, it was hospital bills or one family problem after another.

Anytime he tried explaining that life abroad wasn’t as easy as people think, they would remind him how everyone sacrificed to send him there.

His mother allegedly insulted him on several occasions and even compared him to other Nigerians in the UK who had already built houses for their parents and even relocated their siblings abroad.

According to his roommate, the young man worked as a security guard earning about £16 per hour and because of the constant pressure from home, he kept taking overtime shifts just to meet everyone’s expectations.

Earlier this year, he went to bed and never woke up again.

After an autopsy, doctors reportedly concluded that he died from complications related to high blood pressure.
