C’RIVER COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION PAYS UNSCHEDULED VISIT TO ERC, DEMANDS TIMELY RELEASE OF 2026 STATE EXAMINATION RESULTS

The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq. has paid an unscheduled visit to the Department of the Educational Resource Centre (ERC) to assess the level of preparedness for the processing and release of the 2026 State Examination results.

During the visit, Professor Odey inspected activities within the department and interacted with staff to ascertain the progress made toward ensuring the timely release of the State examination results. The Commissioner emphasized the importance of efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism in handling the examination process, noting that candidates, parents, and stakeholders across the state are eagerly awaiting the outcome of the examinations.

Senator Odey commended the staff of the Educational Resource Centre for their commitment and dedication to duty while urging them to sustain their efforts and ensure that the results are released within the stipulated timeframe.

The Commissioner specifically charged the Director of the department, Dr. Moses Agbereyo, and his team to leave no stone unturned in ensuring that all necessary processes are completed promptly, thereby guaranteeing the timely publication of the results.

According to Professor Odey, the administration of His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu remains committed to strengthening the education sector through improved service delivery, transparency, and the promotion of academic excellence across the state.

On behalf of the department, the Director of Educational Resource Centre, Dr. Moses Agbereyo, expressed appreciation to the Commissioner for the visit, describing it as a morale booster for the staff.
