The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Chief Hon. Christopher Agbeh, has called on security agencies to intensify efforts to safeguard lives and property amid growing security concerns across the country.

Agbeh made the call while receiving the newly posted Commanding Officer of 341 FAR Ogoja, Lt. Col. Adamu Shiwan, who paid him a courtesy visit following his assumption of duty. The chairman assured the military of the council’s continued support and commitment to strengthening collaboration with security agencies to sustain peace and security in the area.
He identified farmer-herder clashes, land disputes and internet fraud, as key security threats requiring urgent attention and a zero-tolerance approach.
Earlier, Lt. Col. Shiwan said the visit was to formally introduce himself and reaffirm the Army’s commitment to maintaining law and order. He pledged to strengthen the cordial relationship between the military and the people of Ogoja while promoting peace and unity.
