More friends, associates, and supporters from within and outside the state have continued to arrive in Calabar ahead of the wedding and Professorial Thanksgiving of Senator Professor Stephen Odey and his beloved wife, Mrs. Monica Odey.
The solemnization ceremony is scheduled to hold tomorrow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Ikot Ansa, by 11:00 a.m., while the reception will take place at the Calabar International Conference Centre by 2:00 p.m.
Among the early arrivals are several distinguished delegations from across the country. The Port Harcourt contingent is led by Engr. Abini F. John; the Akwa Ibom delegation by Rev. Aju; while the Abuja front is led by Hon. Prince George Ogonyi.
The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon Chief Boniface Okache visited Sen. Prof. Stephen Odey in solidarity of the big day.
Also present is the APC Chapter Chairman of Bekwarra LGA, Mr. Odama Thomas Odama, who led a strong contingent of party leaders from Bekwarra, including Prince Abel Adinya and Mr. Patrick Oko. The delegation showed their solidarity and goodwill by presenting a live ram and numerous tubers of yam in honour of the celebrant.
The influx of guests underscores the widespread admiration and support for Senator Professor Odey as he marks this significant milestone.
