Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, on Monday paid a condolence visit to the Angbalakun family in Uchu–Yache following the passing of their beloved matriarch, Madam Paulina Orokpo Angbalakun.
While extending his heartfelt condolences, Professor Odey encouraged the bereaved family to take solace in the exemplary life their late mother lived. He noted that her legacy of impact and kindness would remain indelible in the hearts of all who knew her.
The Commissioner was accompanied by Hon. John Monday Odo, Director, Cross River State Road Maintenance Agency; Hon. Christopher Mohie, Councilor representing Yache Ward; Hon. Joe Idu, former Vice Chairman of Yala Local Government Area, Dr. Matthew Okiri Okeyim, former SSA Diaspora Affairs now based abroad, alongside other dignitaries. Prayers were offered for the peaceful repose of the departed soul.
Responding on behalf of the family, Mr. Michael Ujie Angbalakun, son of the deceased, on behalf of the family expressed profound gratitude to Senator Odey and his entourage for the visit and their show of support during this period of mourning.
