Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, on Sunday hosted the newly inaugurated Yache Ward APC Executives, alongside the outgoing Executives and key political stakeholders of Yache Nation, at his Okuku country home.
In his remarks, Professor Odey expressed profound appreciation to the outgoing ward executives for their dedication, consistency, and selfless service to the party. He charged the newly elected executives to uphold the values of commitment, discipline, consistency, and loyalty, stressing the importance of unity and sustained leadership within the party.
The Commissioner also commended the elders and traditional rulers for their unwavering efforts in promoting peace and unity across Yache Nation. He called on all sons and daughters of Yache to remain united and continue supporting the administration of His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, whose commitment to grassroots development is evident in key infrastructural projects such as the ongoing Yache–Alifokpa road construction and the Akreha–Okpoku Bridge project.
Speaking on behalf of the stakeholders, Hon. Idiku David, former Secretary of Council Yala, HRH Chief Demian Ododo, Chairman Yache Traditional Rulers Council, Hon. John Monday Odo, Director Cross River State Road Maintenance Agency, and the Ward Chairman, Mr. Aza Moses, on behalf of the people expressed a unanimous resolve that Yache Nation will deliver overwhelming support and bloc votes for Governor Bassey Otu and all those who will emerge as APC candidates in the forthcoming elections—surpassing previous electoral outcomes to ensure the continued development of Yache Nation.
The event also featured the presentation of cash support by the Commissioner to both the new and outgoing ward executives, as well as stakeholders, to assist with transportation. Guests were treated to refreshments, creating a warm and convivial atmosphere. In a significant development, the former Ward Chairman, Mr. Julius Igbadu, was appointed as the Political Adviser of the ward in recognition of his consistency, loyalty, and unwavering dedication to the growth and progress of the party.
