LEAGUE OF MBUBE WOMEN LEADERS COMMENDS OGOJA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN’S PEOPLE-CENTERED LEADERSHIP

The League of Mbube Women Leaders, representing 13 communities in Mbube, praised the Ogoja Local Government Chairman, Chief Hon. Christopher Agbeh, for his people-centered leadership and commitment to rural development during a courtesy visit.

Led by Mrs. Grace Onabe, the women commended key projects such as the Nkem Bridge, which has improved trade routes connecting Northern Nigeria, Benue, Obudu, and Mbube. They also highlighted the provision of boreholes, rehabilitation of farm roads, and empowerment initiatives that support women and youths.

The group applauded the inclusion of women in key leadership roles within the council and the distribution of palliatives to rural women.

In response, Chairman Agbeh thanked the women for their support and reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots development. He also noted that the Cross River State Government under Governor Bassey Otu is working closely with local governments to expand development projects, including the distribution of solar power systems to support small businesses.

In attendance was the Vice Chairman of Council, Hon. Mrs Mary Illah Otoro.
