In a dramatic turn the former APC State Chairman, Barr Alphonsus Eba Ogar has withdrawn all legal battles against a process which removed him from office. In his speech Eba said:
“Today marks a month of our legal pursuit for justice. Ecclesiastes 7 : 8, Better the end of a thing than the beginning ‘’.In the last few months of this journey, we have trusted God for direction, we have listened to the sincere counsel of most leaders, true friends and family members”.
After due consideration of all the pleas from our leaders, true friends and family members, I have come to the conclusion that, it will be pleasing to God for us to let our mantra of Peace, Love, Unity and Growth reign in APC.
He maintained that we cannot afford to return APC to the 2019 situation where similar disagreements denied the party ‘s candidates legal validity and legitimacy.
It is gratifying that God saw me through my Four years tenure to the end in peace. I have fought the good fight . I have finished the race .I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4 : 7
To God be the glory, mine was a worthy political battle in the last 15 years that has taken me from the perigee to the apogee of my political career. What awaits me now is a crown of glory. The same grace that brought me this far without any tussle is capable of lifting me higher in Jesus name Amen .
He concluded saying, “I have therefore withdrawn all legal processes earlier filed in court and i further relinquish the interim orders in my favor in the interest of peace, prosperity and progress of our party.
I therefore abide by the decision of the National Executive Committee ( NEC ) on the 19th December 2025 which nullified the State Executive Committee of 16th October 2021 that brought me onboard as APC Chairman”.
Henceforth , I cease to be called APC Chairman of Cross River State .
However , I remain a committed member of the party and in pursuit of same , I have revalidated my membership of APC and i urge existing and intending members to please revalidate their membership and register respectively.
Let’s move to the next level from Political Evangelism to Economic Evangelism . I have therfofore returned to my full legal practice, my farm business and other businesses.
I shall henceforth devote more time to turn around the Natural Rubber sub sector where i presently serve as Chairman, Governing Board of Rubber Research Institute Benin .
I pledge my continued commitment and loyalty to our amiable President, H. E Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, The National Chairman of our great party, Prof. Nentawe Yiwaltda and our amiable Governor, H. E.Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu.
I thank you all for your love and support towards the success of my administration and i humbly appeal to everyone to extend the same support to my successors.
