Congratulations Your Excellency, Senator Apostle Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Executive Governor of Cross River State on Your Excellency’s second year anniversary in office. Your leadership and vision have made a profound impact on our state. We appreciate your unwavering dedication to public service and wish you continued success in your endeavours. On behalf of myself, management and staff of the State Ministry of Education with all her MDAs, we extend warmest congratulations and best wishes for your strong personal commitment to promoting the development of our critical sectors as well as ensuring political stability, peace, security and economic progress in our dear state. This is indeed worthy of celebration. We express our gratitude for all that you are doing to revive the state economy and restore integrity and sound leadership within Cross River State. We wish you every success in these challenging but important endeavours.
I wish to specially acknowledge and commend Your Excellency’s unwavering commitment to peace and stability in our state. Your dedication to driving our state’s progress and prosperity is greatly appreciated. The significant strides made by your administration over the past two years serve as a testament to your outstanding leadership and unrelenting commitment to our state’s advancement.
We specifically acknowledge and appreciate Your Excellency’s impactful intervention and transformation in the Education sector, notably the payment of WAEC registration fees for over sixteen thousand (16,301) SS3 students of Cross River State origin in your inaugural year in office, and similarly, your second year in office has facilitated the free WAEC registration for over fourteen thousand (14,801) SS3 candidates of Cross River State origin. Additionally, we commend the approval and establishment of a new state owned University, University of Education and Entrepreneurship Akamkpa, the implementation of free tuition for all indigenes in all State-owned public primary and secondary schools, the renovation of the State Ministry of Education Headquarters in Calabar, the renovation of the State Library Complex in Calabar, the approval and implementation of promotions for workers, and the approval of a new living wage for the least paid worker in the State, ensuring better remuneration, amongst other notable achievements.
