Writers are custodians of open secrets. And through scientific investigation, they’re lie detectors. It is therefore our duty to write, to place authentic information before the public and illuminate events on our home front with clarity and honesty. Over a decade ago, Yache emerged from the woods and the dark era of political myopia and marginalisation through the singular efforts of a son of the soil, a political heavyweight, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., a man who has repeatedly sacrificed personal comfort in service of Yache’s development. He has done this steadily by committing his hard-earned resources to the welfare of the needy, the award of scholarships, and the funding of genuine empowerment initiatives. He has recurrently intervened in the fixing of the Akreha–Okporku Bridge, contributed in no small measure to development efforts across the six clans of Yache, and devoted his time, energy, and resources to attracting meaningful infrastructural development.
Most recently, he drew the attention of the state government to the permanent rehabilitation of critical infrastructure such as the Akreha–Okporku Bridge and the ongoing construction of Phase One of the Alifokpa Road, among other projects.
Furthermore, during his tenure as Chairman of the Cross River State SUBEB, he deployed his office with transparency and purpose to attract development across all eighteen local government areas. Unsurprisingly, Yache featured prominently in his development blueprint. School buildings were constructed, new schools established, and facilities adequately furnished where necessary. Employment opportunities followed in significant numbers.

Information heals ignorance; when people are poorly informed, they are deformed by half-truths, propaganda, and latter-day sycophants on social media who trade lies for bread and butter in service of their paymasters. Information is therapy.
