Ecclesiastes 3 is a well known Passage that Discusses that there is a specific time for everything under the sun. The book Teaches us that life is cyclical with different seasons for different activities . Further, the Passage list various activities both positive and negative and hold the view that each time has appropriate time .
One Important key Element in Ecclesiastes 3 is the idea of God’s hand ✋️ in Timing. Political seasons , Economic ,Social and Religious seasons are ordained by God.
No Individual or group can influence the times we are in now without God’s hand ✋️!!!
The relevance of the above cannot be an exaggeration. The Political plot to kill Hon Martin orim and Legor by the their Boss is not unconnected to Ecclesiastes 3-1-8
Hon. Martins Orim will still be sacrifice in 2027. Hon. Legor’s third terms bid was a closed door to His political progress for now..
The Political Ambitions of our former Governor, left a vacuum in the Political growth of Men like Hon. Legor Idagbo, and Hon. Martins Orim in 2023, which will take some time to fill.
How?
Why was Hon. Legor Idagbo not promoted to run for Senate while leaving Hon. Martins Orim take the ticket for House of Representative? Reason is, it was against the political ambition of the master. They were the best political Loyalist never ready to follow the Jarigbe’s style.
Hon. Legor bought to the idea and confidence that he is returning the favour given him to run for third terms in the House of Representative even when He knew the dangers of a third term bid within the CRNorth Politics. He did it as Chairman of Council and can do it again, He thought, the Government Powers are behind him as usual.
But the questions needing answers today are, Was He contented with the idea knowing the former Governor was still going to run for the Senate? Did He know that Hon. Martins Orim was already pencil for the Senate? Or He was aware of the plot of only a temporary hold of the ticket pending the decision of the APC presidential conventions?
If He knew, then He sold the rights of Bekwarra for Senate for His third terms bid. A battle the present Senator fought when that chance showed up in 2021 for Ogoja. Like it is commonly said, “You can’t eat your cake and have it.” Hon. Legor is faced with the realities today and in 2027, there is already a stand-still, stagnated political hopes for Bekwarra.
If He did not know, which is unlikely, then He too was used as a tool to gain the Senate ambitions of the former Governor, with a promise of third terms, because, He still would had fronted the Bekwarra Sentiments. All about 2023 focused on their personal political growth and their miscalculations crashed all their plans.
If Hon. Martins Orim in the other hand was given the House of Representative ticket, it would had been a hard fight for Hon. Peter Akpanke to win. The two were best friends who fell apart Politically and the battle field could just be the arena for them to do a balanced popularity contest.
Looking up to 2027, Hon.Martins is already pushed to the realization, and to regain his independent position, spook out, but that realization was coming up when Hon. Peter Akpanke is playing to the good books of the former Governor’s dynasty. Making Hon. Martins ambition look like an act of ingratitude, disloyalty and affront to oppose the Ayade’s dynasty.
Peter is already a House of Rep member with money to throw and fill some money loving political class. With the talk of Equity when it favours this class, all will prefer Obanlinku to complete her second term to also build deceitful sentiment for OBO Senate.
Majorly too, Hon. Martins can’t run for House of Reps, when the Former Governor is still the perceived candidate for Senate in 2027, since the two are from Obudu. Obanlinku keeping the House of Reps for the second term bid will be a better strategy.
Hon. Martins will be talked to step down for Hon. Peter Akpanke or voted out in the APC primaries.
