The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., Odubor 1 of Gabu, on Sunday fulfilled his promise of donating three motorcycles to the Gabu Community. During the presentation, two motorcycles were handed over to the Gabu Community Chiefs, while one motorcycle was presented to the Gabu Youth Leader. The brand-new motorcycles were formally presented at the Okuku residence of Odubor 1 of Gabu, in the presence of key stakeholders of the Gabu community.
Prominent sons of Gabu who received the motorcycles on behalf of the Gabu community included Hon. Elder Godwin Odama, Vice Chairman of Yala Local Government Area; Hon. Ogar Mathias Oko, former Secretary of Yala Local Government Council; Hon. David Ipuole, former Chief Protocol to former Chairman of Yala Local Government Area; and Hon. Akpa Monday, Councillor representing Gabu Ward, among other notable stakeholders.
Senator Professor Stephen Odey, who was represented by his Personal Assistant, Mr. Innocent Ukpo Mohie, and SaintAugustine Adula Odey, Hon. Supervisor for Humanitarian and Social Welfare Yala LGA, called for the continued support of Gabu Ward for the administration of Governor Bassey Otu. Professor Odey described the Governor as a leader committed to the transformation of Cross River State and noted that the gesture is to support the Governorβs deep vision and mission anchored on the People First agenda. Gabu community leaders and stakeholders expressed profound appreciation to Odubor 1 for fulfilling his promise promptly and for his sustained commitment to the development and wellbeing of Gabu Community.
