The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, has extended warm Christmas felicitations to his family, friends at home and in the diaspora, associates, supporters, well-wishers, and Christians across the state and beyond.
In his Christmas message, Professor Odey urged everyone to embrace love, unity, and compassion, noting that the true essence of Christmas is love. He referenced the Holy Scriptures, saying, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son” (John 3:16–17), emphasizing that love remains the foundation of peaceful coexistence and collective progress.
He encouraged Christians to reflect on the values exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ—selflessness, humility, and kindness—and to extend goodwill to one another, especially during this season.
Professor Odey wished all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year filled with hope, good health, and happiness. He prayed that the joy and beauty of the season would abound in every home and that the coming year would usher in renewed blessings and opportunities for all.
