Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, has congratulated His Excellency, Governor Dr. Bassey Edet Otu, on his emergence as Governor of the Year at the Sun Newspaper Awards.
Professor Odey, with members of the Cross River State Executive Council, alongside Barrister Ekpenyong Akiba, Special Adviser to the Governor on General Duties; Dr. (Mrs.) Glory Effiong, Accountant General of Cross River State; and many others attended the award ceremony held on January 31, 2026, at Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. He described the honour as a national recognition of Governor Otu’s people-first policies and visionary leadership.
