The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Executive Chairman of Yala Local Government Area, Hon. Sunny Gabe Ugor.
Hon. Ugor, an illustrious son of Yache, was described by Professor Odey as a brother, friend, and committed leader whose contributions to Yala and Cross River State remain indelible.
While commiserating with the bereaved family, Senator Odey encouraged them to take solace in the fact that the late former Chairman of Council lived a fulfilled and impactful life. He noted that his legacy of service and dedication to community development will continue to live on and be fondly remembered by all who associated with him during his lifetime.
Professor Odey further stated that the passing of Hon. Sunny Gabe Ugor is not only a great loss to Yache Nation but also to Yala Local Government Area, Cross River State, and indeed the entire nation, given his outstanding service and leadership qualities.
He prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the departed and asked God to grant the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
