STEPHEN ODEY REPRESENTS GOVERNOR OTU AT TRUE ELITES GROUP TRAINING ON TECHNOLOGY & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN CALABARThe Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, represented His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, at the True Elites Group Training Programme on Technology and Artificial Intelligence. The two-day event, held at the Cross River State Library Complex, Calabar, was organized in partnership with the State Government through the Ministry of Youth Development and Skills Acquisition, and was themed “Empowering Cross River State Youth in Tech and Artificial Intelligence.”The training is designed to equip young Cross Riverians with essential digital, creative, and innovative skills required to thrive in today’s technology-driven global economy.In his address, Senator Professor Stephen Odey commended Governor Bassey Edet Otu and Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, for their unwavering passion and commitment to education, youth empowerment, and human capital development. He also applauded the convener, Mrs. Bassey Ekpenyong, for initiating such a timely and impactful programme that aligns with the state government’s vision of empowering youths through education and skills acquisition.The Commissioner encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity, emphasizing that innovation and excellence bring pride and honour to the state. He reaffirmed the government’s dedication to sustaining reforms and policies that promote a conducive and technology-driven learning environment across Cross River State.A highlight of the event was the celebration of Governor Bassey Edet Otu’s 66th birthday, during which Senator Prof. Odey led a special prayer and performed the symbolic cake-cutting on behalf of the Governor.Dignitaries in attendance included Her Excellency, Rev.
