OFFICIAL INVITATION FOR SUBMISSION OF MEMORANDA BY STAKEHOLDERS IN THE SOUTH SOUTH ZONE
Pursuant to the Call for Memoranda published in several national dailies on Thursday, May 22, 2025, and in line with the mandate of the Constitution Review Committee of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I have the directives of the Chairman of the South South Zonal Committee of the Constitution Review Committee, Alphonsus Ogar Eba Esq. JP. to invite all party members who intend to make inputs into the constitution of our great party to submit memoranda proposing amendments for the review of the APC Constitution.
The underlisted critical stakeholders in the South South Geopolitical zone will at the close of the Call for Memoranda will meet to further engage with the Committee to brainstorm specific amendments, observations, or suggestions aimed at strengthening our party’s constitution The critically stakeholders expected for the meeting are as follows:
- Serving and Former Presidents / Vice Presidents
- Serving and Former Governors / Deputy Governors
- Serving and Former National Assembly Members
- Serving and Former Members of the APC NWC, Zonal and SEC
- Serving and Former Ministers
- Serving and Former Chairmen of Federal Boards, DGs, Executive Secretaries, and Special Advisers
- Serving and Former Speakers and Members of State Houses of Assembly
- Serving and Former LGA Chairmen / Vice Chairmen and Leaders of Council
- Serving and Former State Commissioners
- State Chapter Chairmen and Executive Committee Members
- All Ward Chairmen in the South South zone
- Other relevant political appointees at federal and state levels
This process will culminate in a zonal stakeholders’ engagement session where submitted memoranda will be deliberated upon, in preparation for the final harmonisation by the APC National Constitution Review Committee working with a team of co-opted legal experts.
