KENYA’S DEPUTY POLICE CHIEF IN TROUBLE OVER THE MURDER OF A BLOGGER

Eliud lagat Kenya’s deputy police chief has landed himself in a hot pot of soup after an online blogger died mysteriously in a detention cell under his watch.

Albert ojwang, according to sources, was critical of making social media posts against the police boss, Mr lagat.

Sunday 8, June Albert ojwang was arrested at his home by Police Constable James Mukhwana on the orders of the Deputy Chief of Police of Kenya, Mr lagat.

The Constable, in his statement, admitted that the sum of Sh,2000 was given to him to buy alcohol by Mr lagat before executing the orders .

The brutal murder of Albert ojwang in the hands of the police in Kenya is very common in most African countries .

It is shameful that a very senior police officer issues out warrant of arrest orders to arrest a blogger who is critical of him on social media .

Think of this situation in Nigeria? Many might have been killed by the orders of some important security officers. And no prosecution carried out against them.

What happened to Albert ojwang in Kenya can happen to some Nigerian online bloggers.
