The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., has received the Vice Chancellor of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Professor Francisca Bassey, and her management team on a courtesy visit at the Ministry of Education, Calabar.
Professor Bassey briefed the Commissioner on recent developments in the University, highlighting improvements in teaching and learning, acquisition of new facilities, and ongoing renovation projects across campuses.
Commending the Vice Chancellor and her team, Professor Odey emphasized the need for timely graduation, prompt NYSC mobilisation, and the issuance of certificates without delay, noting that these are key factors that build public confidence in the institution. He assured UNICROSS of continued government support and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening the University’s reform process in line with the people’s first vision and mission of His Excellency, Senator Dr. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, Governor of Cross River State.
The visit was attended by senior officials of the Ministry of Education and UNICROSS management.
