The Commissioner for Education, Sen. Professor Stephen Odey, Esq., on Thursday, received members of the Team Mma-Adiaha Solidarity Movement, Northern Senatorial District, on a courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry of Education Headquarters in Calabar. The delegation was led by the Coordinator of the movement and Honourable Commissioner for Sports, Hon. Agnes Atsu.
The visit was aimed at expressing appreciation to the Commissioner for his impactful leadership and developmental strides in the education sector, as well as for his previous support to the group. The delegation also formally invited him to chair their forthcoming Dinner Night event.
Speaking on behalf of the group, the Coordinator commended Professor Odey’s outstanding representation of the Northern Senatorial District, highlighting his commitment to human capital development and humanitarian services across the state.
“We are proud of your achievements in the education sector and your dedication to uplifting our people. May the Lord continue to bless and elevate you,” the group stated.
In his response, Professor Odey warmly welcomed the delegation and emphasized the importance of gratitude and unity in leadership. He described the visit as thoughtful and commendable, noting that acknowledging stakeholders, strengthens community bonds and fosters collective progress.
The Commissioner graciously accepted the invitation to chair the Dinner Night and pledged his full support for the success of the event.
