C’RIVER COMMISSIONER FOR EDUCATION RECEIVES DR. MICHAEL ISHAJE AND FAMILY ON COURTESY VISIT

The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, received Dr. Michael Ishaje and his family during a courtesy visit to his office in Calabar.

Dr. Ishaje, who recently bagged a Ph.D. in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the University of Benin and was convocated on November 29, 2025, visited the Commissioner to express his profound gratitude for the role he played in his academic journey. He noted that the opportunity to secure employment as a lecturer at the University of Cross River State marked the beginning of the progress that eventually led to his recent academic accomplishment. He thanked Professor Odey for his fatherly guidance, mentorship, and unwavering support throughout the process.

Welcoming Dr. Ishaje, his wife, and their baby, the Commissioner warmly congratulated him on the successful completion of his doctoral programme. He commended Dr. Ishaje’s rare sense of appreciation, observing that not everyone remembers to return and offer thanks. He added that a grateful heart attracts new opportunities and opens doors to even greater achievements.

The Commissioner offered prayers for Dr. Ishaje and his family, wishing them continued success in their future endeavours.
