The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, has extended warm congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Ezekiel Paul on the occasion of their wedding ceremony held on Saturday, December 6, 2025. The Commissioner was ably represented at the colourful event by the Director of Special Duties, Ministry of Education, Mr. Cyril Itam.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner, Mr. Itam conveyed Professor Odey’s heartfelt felicitations to the newlyweds and offered prayers for a joyful, peaceful, and prosperous home. He encouraged the couple to uphold the values of love, unity, and mutual understanding as they embark on their marital journey.
As a gesture of goodwill and support, Mr. Itam presented a set of gifts to the couple on behalf of the Commissioner—a moment that drew applause and appreciation from family members, friends, and well-wishers in attendance.
The wedding service was held at Mount Zion Lighthouse Full Gospel Church, Arab Assembly, while the reception followed at the State House Library Conference Hall, both in Calabar. Colleagues from the Ministry of Education were also in attendance to honour Mr. Ezekiel Edet Paul, an ICT Officer in the Ministry, and his bride on their special day.
