STEPHEN ODEY REPRESENTS GOVERNOR OTU AT TRUE ELITES GROUP TRAINING ON TECHNOLOGY & ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN CALABARThe Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, represented His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, at the True Elites Group Training Programme on Technology and Artificial Intelligence. The two-day event, held at the Cross River State Library Complex, Calabar, was organized in partnership with the State Government through the Ministry of Youth Development and Skills Acquisition, and was themed “Empowering Cross River State Youth in Tech and Artificial Intelligence.”The training is designed to equip young Cross Riverians with essential digital, creative, and innovative skills required to thrive in today’s technology-driven global economy.In his address, Senator Professor Stephen Odey commended Governor Bassey Edet Otu and Her Excellency, Bishop Dr. (Mrs.) Eyoanwan Bassey Otu, for their unwavering passion and commitment to education, youth empowerment, and human capital development. PROFESSOR STEPHEN ODEY REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO STRONGER COLLABORATION WITH EDUCATION SUPERVISORS ACROSS THE STATEOctober 21, 2025The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening collaboration between the Ministry of Education and Supervisors for Education across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state. He made this known on Tuesday when he received the Supervisors on a courtesy visit to the Ministry of Education Headquarters in Calabar.In his remarks, Senator Odey commended the Supervisors for their dedication and readiness to partner with the Ministry in advancing the state’s education sector.Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Hon. E.M. Mojafu-Ekpang congratulated the Commissioner on his numerous academic achievements and lauded his ongoing efforts to revamp education in the state. He further pledged the forum’s full support for the new education policy and announced a unanimous vote of confidence in the Commissioner.Senator Prof. Odey clarified that while Supervisors for Education operate under Local Government Councils, they remain vital partners in implementing education reforms. STEPHEN ODEY ENGAGES STAKEHOLDERS AND PEOPLE OF GABU ON DEVELOPMENTAL ISSUESOctober 11, 2025.The Cross River State Commissioner for Education, who also holds the traditional title Odubor I of Gabu, Senator Professor Stephen Odey, on Saturday engaged stakeholders and the good people of Gabu in an interactive session held at Pega-Brand Lounge, Okuku – Yala.The meeting brought together notable personalities from Gabu Ward, including the Vice Chairman of Yala Local Government, Hon. Chief Godwin Odama; former Secretary of Yala Local Government, Hon. Mathias Oko; Hon. David Ipuole; Rev. Festus Ojedor; Hon. Monday Akpa, Councilor representing Gabu Ward; Mr. Pius Okpagu; and other prominent leaders of the community.In their remarks, the stakeholders commended Senator Professor Stephen Odey for his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the development and progress of Gabu.
