APC Crnorth, keep Sen. Ben. Ayade, out of the 2027 senate contest, let his support force be behind a fresh candidate credible enough to persuade the people that something different will happen.
Sen. Ayade is a good man, but the people feel and still feel excluded in his development approach. The worst is those who handled most of the projects that have direct contacts with the people somehow applied brutal force approaches toward the people.
For instance, as grandiose as the Cargo Airport project, it enormous displacement of families, homes and farmlands, left behind a lot of uncertainties requiring a constance reassurance efforts to keep minds of those affected at peace.
The Mfom-Okuku dual carriage road is another project. The Yahe, North Ukelle to Benue Road. And surprisingly, the Governor Prince Bassey Otu’s administration is taking these projects as a priority for continuity legacy. Jubilations are kicking into the minds of the people again, yet this is not enough reason to return and ask for votes, but requesting for someone you trust will continue doing better.
Sen. Ayade needs a deliberately radical approach to his commitments to apply diplomatic tactics, like Sen. Liyel Imoke once did, kneel and beg the people where necessary and reignite the deep sentiments of OBO irrespective too of which LGA among the three that the candidate is hail from
The people do not hate and have never hated Sen. Ben. Ayade, all they want him to do is talk to them now with a deep sense of sincerity, revealing reasons why most of his projects are still uncompleted, and efforts still in place to see to all projects completion.
It will be another political tsunami to come out only to ask for votes from the people to return back to the Senate, no matter the strong backings from federal and state powers.
But taking the support on someone else approach will birth a new political reorientation for all Northern leaders, that the time for us all to take the people and development as core values is now.
Sen. Ayade was phenomenal in Human Capital Empowerment, but to his industrialization policy, human expertise development was and is still a vacuum needing attention..
We can not sit down because we belong to a political Party and agree to what will not give us a win and at the end, create bitterness and hatred within the party, calling some out as playing anti-party or betraying anyone.
This is the right time to speak to power and do the right thing. This is not time for the stakeholders. This is time for the people..
