Dear Mr. Peter Obi,

Good afternoon, Sir. I trust this message finds you in good health and high spirits. I write to you today not just as a concerned Nigerian, but as a representative of millions of your supporters, across political divides, who earnestly believe in your integrity, vision, and capacity to lead Nigeria toward a new era of justice, equity, and prosperity.
We have taken note of recent reports suggesting that you intend to contest the 2027 presidential election once again under the platform of the Labour Party. While your loyalty and commitment to the Labour Party are admirable, we, your devoted supporters and members of the broader “Obidient” movement, feel compelled to respectfully share a concern that weighs heavily on our hearts.
Sir, the harsh reality is this, the task of removing the current administration led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as well as figures like Nyesom Ezenwo Wike – CON, GSSRS and Godswill Obot Akpabio, who symbolize the entrenched political status quo, is not one that can be achieved by a single party, no matter how principled and popular. The All Progressives Congress (APC) is not resting; they are already planning, strategizing, and consolidating power ahead of 2027.
Therefore, we firmly believe that it is no longer about party affiliations, it is about Nigeria. The dream of reclaiming this country for the common man cannot be realized unless the forces of like-minded progressive change unite under one formidable coalition. Sir, your candidacy, or any other person under the coalition is respected and widely accepted as it is, must be part of a broader national alliance, one that brings together credible opposition voices from all regions, religions, and ethnic groups.
Let no one be deceived, this struggle is not just about elections, it is about the soul of our nation. It is about ending a cycle of corruption, mediocrity, and impunity that continues to rob Nigerians of their dignity and future. The 2027 election must be a referendum between the suffering masses and the political elite who have failed them.
Even if all the governors of Nigeria decide to join the APC, we will meet them on the field. And when we do, the world will see clearly who holds the real power in a democracy, the oppressed but determined citizens of this country, not political officeholders clinging to a collapsing status quo.
Sir, we urge you not to isolate your campaign under one party platform. Instead, let history remember you as the leader who, in Nigeria’s darkest hour, chose unity over partisanship, and coalition over division, for the sake of national redemption. The time to build that coalition is now.
We are ready. We are hopeful. And we await your leadership in this historic mission.
