National Forum of Former Legislators Holds Southern Summit 2025… Senator Prof. Stephen Odey Reunites with Former Colleagues During SummitSeptember 13, 2025 – The Southern Summit of the National Forum of Former Legislators was held today at Abeokuta Ogun State capital, with the theme: “National Unity: Bedrock of Nation Building.” The high-level gathering brought together eminent former lawmakers, state executives, and other national stakeholders to deliberate on strategies for sustaining Nigeria’s unity and strengthening the foundations of nation building.The Summit was chaired by former Senate President, Senator Ken Nnamani, while the Convener was the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila. The Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Senator Prince Dapo Abiodun, was also in attendance, alongside several top federal and state government officials from across the country.Among the notable participants were Senator Prof. Stephen Odey and his distinguished colleagues from the Red Chamber, including Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN (former Senate Leader), Senator Obinna Ogba, Senator Gyang, Senator Albert Akpan, Senator James Manager, and Senator Olubumi, among others.Cross River State was ably represented by two former Senators as delegates—Senator Prof. Stephen Odey and Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN.
