CRS GOVERNMENT : MENTION THOSE BEHIND THE FIRE OUTBREAK IN OGOJA HIGH COURT
Matthew Okeyim
The reckless burning of the Ogoja High Court is the worst in recent times in Nigeria’s most marginalized and impoverished local government. Ogoja is the last province on the surface of the earth without the status of a state . Ogoja has suffered underdevelopment and neglect in the last 100 years, with most of its institutions uprooted from Ogoja, the citadel of the Northern Senatorial District, to Obudu by the past successive administration.
From Zaire to Zanzibar, one cannot locate the headquarters of Ogoja today because of the wickedness and self-aggrandizement of some of our leaders, whose panacea is to wipe off Ogoja from the Guinness Book of Records.
January 6, 2025: The Ogoja High Court was burnt completely down by the government and men of the underworld .
The government’s position on the fire incident is suspicious and requires a fast public intervention to sanction the government and its agents for sabotage and economic crimes.
The Government of Cross River State can only exonerate itself from the fire incident if only a roll call of those behind the reckless fire outbreak is read to the public within the shortest possible time.
It could be recalled that Ogoja’s subtreasury some years ago was burnt by fire to ashes, and no culprit has been apprehended till today.
The only township stadium at Igoli Ogoja was engulfed by fire with tiny infrastructure burnt down.
What is left to be burnt down by fire is the Ogoja General Hospital .
Unless the government provides a roll call of those behind the notorious fire disaster at Ogoja, the Government of Cross River State is the kingpin in this disaster.
